Privacy Policy

Roambase is built and operated by an independent developer operating as GetLostAdv. The short version: everything you put into Roambase stays on your own device. There is no account, no server, and no cloud. We never collect, transmit, sell, or share your information, and the app contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking.

Data stored on your device

Roambase is offline-first. The things you enter — your trips, stops, waypoints, itineraries, bookings, notes and costs, your budget and expenses, any travel-rewards programs and their balances, and any travel numbers you choose to save (such as a TSA PreCheck / Known Traveler Number, Global Entry number, or passport details) — are saved locally on your phone (an on-device database). This data is never sent to us or anyone else. Deleting an item in the app removes it; uninstalling the app removes all of it from your device. Roambase asks you to store numbers only — never a password or PIN.

Permissions, and why

Roambase asks for a permission only at the moment you use a feature that needs it, and only for that purpose:

• Location — used in two places, both on your device: when you tap “log where I am now” to record your current spot as a stop, and while you have the Flight tracker open and running, to show your live speed, altitude and position. Your location is used only while you are actively using these features and is never uploaded. Roambase does not track your location in the background.
• Photos — used in two ways, both on your device: (1) when you choose a screenshot to add a booking, the image is read on-device (text recognition) to prefill it; and (2) when you tap “Find photos from this trip”, Roambase reads your photo library to link photos to the stop where you took them, matched by each photo's location and date. In both cases your photos are never copied or uploaded — Roambase only references them; nothing is sent anywhere.
• Calendar — used only when you tap “Add to calendar”. Roambase opens your phone’s own “Add Event” screen, prefilled from the booking, and you confirm it before anything is saved. Roambase only writes the event you approve and does not read your other calendar entries.

What we do not do

• No accounts, no sign-in, no profiles.
• No servers or cloud storage — your data is not uploaded anywhere.
• No analytics, telemetry, tracking, or advertising.
• We do not sell or share your data. There is nothing to sell — we never receive it.
• No background location tracking.

Data retention and deletion

Because your data lives only on your device, you control it entirely: delete individual trips, stops, or bookings inside the app, or delete the app to remove everything. We keep no copies, because we never had any.

Children

Roambase is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone — it does not collect data from anyone at all.

Changes

If Roambase ever adds a feature that changes how data is handled (for example, an optional cloud backup), this policy will be updated first and the change will be opt-in and clearly labelled. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version.
